Morrisons Charity Golf Day, Sotogrande – 2011

Sotogrande Television covered the 2011 ‘Morrison’s Golf Charity Day’ from the La Canada Golf Club here in Sotogrande.

This charity golf event has actually been running for two and a half years and is organised by the Morrison’s supermarket store in Gibraltar.

It is also supported by Cepsa-Gibraltar as well as many other local businesses – both in Gibraltar and this year several from here in Sotogrande.

This year the staff at Morrison’s voted to support the ‘Save the Children’ charity fund.

The collection for the annual selected charity is actually on-going throughout the whole year with their ‘charity’ year ending in May each year…

So apart from money generated from the event we are covering today, Morrisons are actively collecting throughout their charity year – including a bucket collection at their Gibraltar store in the run up period to Christmas.

With 20,000 Pounds raised in it’s first year, 15,000 Pounds in the second and it is hoped to raise a further 20,000 Pounds this year!
