Royal Salute Scotch Whisky Polo Team – Sotogrande – Spain

This was a truly wonderful day on a hot Sotogrande Summer’s day where we met the team and the Sponsors. Following an introduction to the team we had the chance to interview English Polo Professional Malcolm Borwick who gives an explanation of all 4 (sorry 5 in the case of the Royal Salute Team!) members of his team and their backgrounds.

Following a superb Argentine Asado style lunch the invited VIP guest were given the opportunity to have a go at mastering the polo ‘swing’ themselves in the capable hands of Malcolm – one guest even found that with a glass of Royal Salute in one hand and a polo mallet in the other his ‘swing’ greatly improved!!!

We wish the team every success during the coming weeks of the 2013 Sotogrande High Goal Polo Tournaments in which they will be playing – three in all – the Bronze, Silver and finally the High Goal Gold Cup at the end of August…
